SUMMER 2007
OUTREACH/SERVICE
The
summer of 2007 will be an exciting
and busy time for the Mayan Ministry
at Sandra’s House. Several groups
have proposed short term outreach
team trips to facilitate conferences
for women, marriage and family, and
youth. Others are focusing on
evangelistic outreach. Pray with us
that all that God has for us this
year will take place.
VIDEO BIBLE
SCHOOLS
- Sandra’s House opened its doors
for the first three day pastor
training course in September 2001.
The Sandra’s House training team in
2003 initiated over fifty (50) Video
Bible Schools (VBS) of three hours
each week now provides Bible study
to over 500 people. The VBS program
developed by the International
School of Ministers is fifteen
months long with the classes meeting
once a week for three hours.
Sandra’s House pastor training is
coordinated with local churches
within eight denominations. The VBS
Ministry has expanded from Quantana
Roo to other states in Mexico -
Yucatan and Campeche. There are in
excess of 1,500 Mayan villages on
the Yucatan Peninsula and Sandra’s
House desires to reach all of them
with a Video Bible School.

EVANGELISTIC and HUMANITARIAN
OUTREACH
- Sandra’s House serves to
facilitate evangelical outreach
projects and ministries, medical and
humanitarian outreach ministries and
Christian education/training
discipleship and leadership
workshops. Through the medical
outreach ministry effort, the local
hospital received an anesthesia
machine and local surgeons will now
be able to perform more complicated
surgery.
SANDRA’S
HOUSE and SAMARITAN’S PURSE JOIN IN
PROVIDING HURRICANE RELIEF
Samaritan’s Purse Hurricane Dean
relief workers have arrived at SHMM
to coordinate efforts in the Zona
Maya region of Quintana Roo, Mexico.
Although Sandra’s House weathered
Hurricane Dean under the watchful
eye of the Lord, many others in the
southern portion of Quintana Roo
were less fortunate.
SAMARITIAN'S
PURSE OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
- In 2005, the Mexican Division of
Operation Christmas Child
(Samaritan's Purse) asked Sandra’s
House to be the representative
distributor of Operation Christmas
Child shoeboxes in the state of
Quintana Roo. Over 5,000 shoe boxes
were distributed to Mayan children
in 2004/05 and in 2005/06, more than 5,800
shoe boxes were distributed. The
allotment for 2007 was for about
20,000 Mayan children. The
distribution took place from January
through February.
"Everyone who calls on the name
of the Lord will be saved." How,
then, can they call on the one they
have not believed in? And how can
they believe in the one of whom they
have not heard? And how can they
hear without someone preaching to
them? And how can they preach unless
they are sent? As it is written,
"How beautiful are the feet of those
who bring good news!" Rom 10:13-15
